Electric Power Generation & Distribution

The grid is becoming decentralized and power-electronic driven — integrating renewables, utility-scale storage and distributed energy resources, and transitioning to Inverter-Based Resources (IBRs). Cactus SiC enables efficient conversion for utility-scale solar and wind, battery storage, solid-state substations and advanced grid equipment at medium and high voltage.

Data Centers & AI Infrastructure

AI is driving unprecedented data-center power demand. Next-gen AI facilities need highly efficient power delivery for megawatt-scale IT racks while minimizing energy, cooling and cost. Emerging NVIDIA/OCP architectures are accelerating the shift to 800 VDC distribution for GPU clusters.

Cactus SiC improves every stage — from medium-voltage distribution and solid-state transformers to UPS, DC supplies and rack-level converters — enabling higher switching frequency, greater power density and lower cooling. Our technology suits Solid-State Transformers (SSTs) that convert 12–35 kV distribution directly to 800 VDC, eliminating conversion stages.

Industrial Power Systems & Microgrids

Industrial facilities depend on continuous power. Climate disruption and rising demand drive investment in resilient on-site generation, battery storage and intelligent AC/DC microgrids, while electrification of transport, heating and manufacturing raises demand for high-voltage DC distribution. Cactus SiC powers industrial drives, energy storage, power conditioning and mission-critical systems — smaller, more efficient, more reliable converters that raise availability and lower total cost of ownership.

 SiC’s wide bandgap enables operation at high temperature and under high radiation — where silicon cannot survive. Our devices support national-security systems and demanding aerospace platforms with secure domestic manufacturing.

Our SiC devices are engineered for operation in extreme environments — high temperature, high radiation — where conventional silicon cannot survive. We support national-security systems, satellite platforms, and demanding aerospace applications with ITAR-registered, secure domestic manufacturing. NASA engagement details available upon request.
